HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mother's and grandmother's. Motherhood is an amazing part of life and no matter how difficult it is I wouldn't change it for the world!

I have recently been reflecting on motherhood and my role specifically as a mother. I often think (already) that I could have done better or that I could be better. Then I realize that motherhood is not over and the things that I want to change and the things I could do better at can still be achieved. My children will remember my efforts to be a righteous and loving mother inspite of my downfalls.

I have heard of a new book entitled "I am a Mother" by Jane Clayson Johnson. I have yet to read the book, but based on an interview I recently watched (http://deseretbook.com/time-out/jane-video) I am impressed by her inspiration and her desire to share with women that their role as a mother is nothing degrading and that being a mother is the richest reward we can achieve in life whether we have our own children or are a role model for other's children.

I love and appreciate the efforts of all mom's to teach, "mold", discipline, advise and love their children. I love that we as women are able to nurture infants, toddlers, youth, tweens, and teens alike whether they are ours or not. I love that we have the ability and instinct to teach the children around us the goodness and righteousness of life and to share our experiences and life lessons with them to become better people. I love having friends and relatives share the perks and personal lessons of motherhood with me. I love being a mom!!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

SUN

We are so excited that summer has decided to grace us with it's presence. We have had beautiful weather since...yesterday! It snowed Saturday and now it's in the 80's - that's what Rexburg weather brings to those that live here and visit.
We are enjoying every minute we can, just in case it decides to snow again ;)
We had a picnic last night and played on the swing set. We have been to the park and will have another picnic tonight!!! We love to be outside, who doesn't? Enjoy your days in the sun.

All or Nothing

Because I haven't made a post in a while and I finally have time to sit down, write and actually share pictures with you all I have just made about 42 posts! Okay, so maybe more like four, but still that's a lot in one day. I invite you to read them all and see the fun events/experiences that we've had the past few weeks.
We hope you all respond to something that's been posted, we love to hear your comments.
ENJOY!

Feeding time

Sarah has decided that she needs to be a big girl and sit at the table with the family, no more highchair for her! She also seems to think that she is big enough to feed herself, and sure enough she is, she gets on and much as she gets in and loves every minute of it.

These pictures are the classic!

hair-do

Sarah is sporting quite the hair-do these days. Jodi says she looks just like Jake did when he was getting his head of hair. We call it the mohawk fuzz. Others have said she looks like a chia-pet, I'm not so sure I would call it that, but it's cute whatever you want to call it. She has that darkest hair of them all, but it's really trying to come in.

Take a peek. (click on the image to enlarge it and there you will see what I am talking about)

First Haircut

Kayelynn just got her first haircut yesterday and it looks very cute. Her hair was getting long and straggly; it was well past due! She goes around shaking her head and saying, "look at my hair". She loves it!

Here are some pictures, not the best, but some!

Accident

We recently had our first big accident with one of the kids. Kayelynn and Bryant were helping Jake clean the trooper. Kayelynn was inside, detailing and Bryant was outside cleaning the wheels. Bryant thought it would be fun to help Kayelynn out of the trooper while she was hanging onto the window of the passenger door. He opened the door and out she fell, straight to the curb. She got pretty banged up. It makes you so sad to see them get hurt, even if it is somewhat of an accident.

Here are some pictures.
